4th Grade Trip to the Hallmark Visitor Center and Ice Terrace
We had a wonderful time learning about the history of
Hallmark and exploring the exhibits in the visitor center. Then we ate
lunch in Crown Center and explored the free play area that has a Wizard of Oz
theme. Our next stop was getting laced up in our skates at the Ice
Terrace. Everyone did an excellent job of ice skating! I was
impressed with their skills.
A special thanks to all of the moms who were able to attend and skate. I was impressed with your skills too!

2nd and 3rd Grade Symphony Trip
The 2nd and 3rd grades all went to the KC Symphony. We had the best seats in the house where we could look right down on all of the musicians and instruments. The music and speakers taught us all about how to be a good citizen. One of the highlights was hearing the huge organ perform with the symphony.

5th Grade Trip to the Federal Reserve Bank and Stamp Fulfillment Center
We had way too much fun at the Federal Reserve Bank, but who wouldn't have fun when you are surrounded by money!? We learned about currency throughout history and the role that the Federal Reserve Bank plays in our banking system. We also helped analyzed money to find counterfeit bills.
| This gold bar was worth over $450,000! It was very heavy! |
| These students were creating their own currency. |
Then we traveled deep into the caves to visit the Stamp Fulfillment Center. We learned about how they create and process orders for stamps from all over the world.
